Italian Dining Rifugio

Food was great. I had the pizza with lamb. Unfortunately all the lamb that was on the pizza was all fat. Hardly any actual meat. Was quite disappointed and told our waitress. Ended up not paying for that pizza. Everything else was spot on.

Went for a meal here on a Saturday night, no need to book, plenty of room. Garlic bread to start, which we shared, as it was pizza sized and very tasty. Went for the belly pork main meal which was very fatty but alright once I got to the meat. Red wine sauce was just okay. My wife had the pancetta carbonara which she thought was quite pleasant. Service and atmosphere were satisfactory. All in all, everything was a little average and I would choose one of the other many places to eat in Uxbridge next time.

We visited on father's day and it got busy as the evening went on. There was a wait between courses and the staff did apologise. Mushroom starter was delicious and the cookie dessert with salted caramel ice cream was yummy. Definitely if you've got a very sweet tooth. Father's day menu was good value for money. Good choice on both menus. Would recommend.
